Setting Up EmailVerify.io with Airtable via Zapier
Airtable bases are only as reliable as the data inside them. This integration connects EmailVerify.io with Airtable through Zapier to automatically verify email addresses as records are created or updated, writing the result directly back into your base without any manual intervention.
How This Integration Works
The setup follows a Trigger → Action → Update flow:
- The Trigger: A new record is created in Airtable, or an existing record is updated.
- The Action: Zapier sends the email address to EmailVerify.io for a real-time check.
- The Result: The verification status is pushed back into a specified field in your Airtable record.
Step-by-Step Integration Setup
Complete the following steps to get your integration up and running in Zapier.
Step 1: Create a New Zap
- First, log in to your Zapier dashboard and click Create Zap.
- Change the title at the top to give your Zap a name you'll recognize later.
Step 2: Set Your Airtable Trigger
Next, select Airtable as your trigger app and connect your account. Then select the base and table you want to monitor.
Choose a trigger based on when you want verification to run:
Step 3: Add EmailVerify.io as the Action
- Once your trigger is set, add a new step and choose EmailVerify.io as the action app.
- Select the action based on what you want to do with your Airtable data:
- Click "Connect EmailVerify.io" and paste your API key from your EmailVerify.io API section when prompted.
- From there, map the email field to the email column from your Airtable trigger.
Step 4: Write the Results Back to Airtable
- After verification, add a final Update Record step in Zapier to write the result back to your Airtable record.
- Create a single-select field in your table called Email Status and set the options to Valid, Invalid, and Risky.
- Zapier will automatically update this field the moment verification is complete, so your team is always working with accurate data in real time.
Step 5: Test and Activate
Finally, run a test to confirm data is flowing correctly between Airtable and EmailVerify.io. Once confirmed, turn on your Zap. Every new or updated record will be verified automatically from that point forward.
